Hi iMMa.. first question: How are you?? I really loved to see you in Amsterdam again after we met in Münich.. Leator told me you saw us again, is that true?? Because, well.. there are so many people over there and it's easily to say someone smiles at you when he meant someone else.. but a lovely feeling to think so though.. Must say, you really know how to party on stage and that brings me to my second question: If I have to believe all the rumours about Mika invading our wedding, are you coming with him?? We'd love to, that's for sure.. And... sorry MFCers... we won't tell you the date if they will say yes to our invitation..

Right here we go, I shall see if I can write all teh answers (due to my dodgu hands after doing some boxing yesterday!!!) Lucky I'm not playing guitar tonight!!! ha ha!! Q1 (starting from abby): My dream for my music is to be selling my own music and making a living from this, to be creating and performing and inspiring (I hope).
Q2: I shall be honest with you, I am not "up" on my japanese music (ashamed) and I should be, I would love for people to introduce artists to me. It's funny that you say, Londoner and not English or British,.... because you are right. I have love and respect for both my cultures, both Japan and Britain, but I do very much feel a Londoner, in the respect that I have different cultures within me and I am not afraid to explore and use both. I would sing my songs in Japanese, if there was a need to. I once did a Pop project where I translated my songs into japanese - it was fun... but difficult. YOu use a different part of your voice when speaking another language - so it was strange to sing like this. I bwould love to perform at Brixton with my own music, actually Kokos too - I used to hang there as a young teenager when it was Camden Palace.... Q3: I always loved singing, but I wanted to be a dancer and a race jockey at one point too!!! I think from 16 singing was my one and only passion that drived me to work. 2) If I wasn't singing I would teach in performance and confidence building or work in using music with psychology. Or if it had to be completely un-music related - train dogs. 3)Life inspires me to write songs - experiencing different cultures and people. Pushing boundaries and forcing myself to do things I don't want to do, but are good for me. Q4: I think some people default setting is negative.. mine is positive, I have always been pretty forward going and thinking (apart from teenage angsty years!!) I don't like feeling bad, it churns me up inside, so I really try to be positive and have a positive energy around me. 2) I think I am influenced by my cultures in different ways. I love tha traditions and pride of Japan, the fashion, but again I love th history of both countries and how they coped with things in different ways - especially both of them being small islands. I love the British attitude, humour, fashion and music history. I feel very lucky to be able to experience both cultures, but I will never be just British or Japanese, but I will happily be both!! Q.5 I see myself as a Rock person, I love Pop and most of my melodies are pop driven, but I love hard hitting, filthy guitars, with a bass line that makes you rumble. It just hits the spot for me. Q.6:I have no idea about Big Girl or Lollipop slots, this would be something for the Mika site - sorry and Good Luck. Q.7: 13th-17th Aug.. Hopefully - I know there are some festivals with MIKA on the weekend - but hopefully when I get back I shall pop something in... will keep you posted.... Got to walk dog - will answer more when I get back..

Marks' walking him... So where were we... Q.1 (from Sylvana) My favourite Mika gig was hammersmith as my family were there. I also shed a wee tear in Milan as everyone sang along to I see you and Any Other World. They are not even my words or music, but it was so powerfully moving.2) My fav for my own...hmmm has to be after my band split and I made this a solo project. All the time this had been a band project for it to get stripped aprt and torn by various decisions and to get through it all - and to know I could make it happen. I can't even remember where it was, but for me emotionally it was the hardest and therefore most fulfilling!3) My best moment in my life?? Wow! What a question... I don't really know, I'm sorry I don't think I can abswer this, there have been such different things in my life, completing a 2 week motorbike rife through India - visiting really romote villages and seeing the most beautiulk children - finishing my album and relaesing it o my own label was a huge acheivement for me - playing alongside great musicians like MIKA, supporting my favourite band, Skunk Anansie on 2 dates - now that was AMAZING! Q2: What everyone does on stage is mostly impulse - we generally don't really rehearse moves - apart from jumps (Rain) and jumps (B.I.O.T.G) - Jimmy and I are good pals and we have a laugh - it's all un-choreographed (hence Jimmy slapping me in the face!!)2) I love touring, I love visiting different places and playing to various audiences - it's a dream come true. Q.3: I get my energy from you guys and of course the music. For me performing is a chance to release, so for me it is my release and to express whatever I am feeling however I like.2) The craziest thing I've seen a fan do... hhmmm... queue up at silly o clock in the morning - I dunno how you guys do it!! I need my SLEEP!!! ha ha!! No, I dunno....faint? Queue early on, get to the front then faint first song in.... Or am I being mean? I suppose you can't really help fainting!!?? 3) mint choc chip 4) Yes, after I sang with E.N.O. I started singing I started having private lessons and I went to a music school - before I started MIKA I mainly taught singing too.5) So far my fav trip has been going to Australia as I have always wanted to go as a little girl - then singing infront of the Opera House was SO special!!5) I would love to do a gig in the land of clogs and cheese!! Hopefully one day soon! Q.4: I love Mika's music it's SO fun - In fact it's an album I love to listen to in the car - ROCK is my love, but music is my passion - especially good music. It's an incredible sensation to play to such HUGE crowd and I have been situations where I have played to 16,000 people then the next day 30... but you know what it makes you work harder when there is asmall crowd, especially one that hasn't come to see just you, you have to try to win them over and so it makes you work harder and is more rewarding when it happens. Q.5: I managed to keep the wrap closed till 2 days agon- when me and my band completely demolished them with tea!!! thank you they were delicious!!!

Hi iMMa!!! I saw MIKA during "The Imaginarium Tour" at Bercy the 26 and 27 April..it was fantastic... Congratulations for your performance, you have a real scenic imposing presence on stage!!! You form, with the rest of the MIKA's band, a magnificent team I listened your songs with your band and I love it!! I like so much Rock' and 'roll I have two questions for you - Do you will realize soon shows in France (Paris)? - Do you think that, during the next Mika's tour, you can sing with your band before the Mika's show (it will be fantastic!!) See you soon for the French festivals in France this summer!!

Q2: My fav song to sing of Mika is Happy Ending. Mine... You know, I'm glad it is, because you sing it so bloody well. In fact, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know the harmony at the end xDD As for Japanese artists, Koda Kumi is a really, really, really popular female artist!! She's mainly pop, but she's done a few rock things as well so I'd check her out if I were you. I've been listening to her for years! These videos are of her beginning all the way through to her career now...she wasn't successful at all in the beginning, she really struggled. In fact, she didn't rise to fame until her song "Real Emotion" which ended up being the theme tune for Final Fantasy X-2. "Butterfly" is one of (if not THE) most famous song by her, and then when she got to the song "You", she released 12 singles - 1 every week - and that really put her on the Pop Map and that's exactly where she's stayed. She's worked really hard, writes her songs and sings live as well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IwXL4xR6MQ (you can view the other parts if you click the links on the right hand side) And because you like rock music I recommend Gackt! I don't know all of his songs, but THIS one - IMO - is amazing!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSy-JIx0pMQ&feature=related

Thats GREAT! My kinda girl! Sees myself as a rock person too. Love cool guitars, amazing guitar solos/riffs, music you can rock and freak out to (like queen and guns n roses)! The reason i asked is cos of your hair... it reminds me of a kinda rock person! So who is you fave. rock band/artist if you should pick one?

. I am pretty sure I am a quite good Karaoke singer in Japanese, but I find it's very hard to sing even "Dancing Queen" in English! Oh I totally get you! I find singing in Japanese is easier on the vocals than singing in English xD I wonder why this is O.o iMMa, do you know? xD
