Is there any chance of you doing gigs outside London, at any time?

Hi iMMa! I was just wondering how long have you been performing and do you ever get nervous before gigs? I promised a friend I'll sing at his birthday and I'm nervous already, how can you stay so calmed and lovely in front of such huge audiences?

If you could go back in time and see any band/artist perform, who would you go and see?

hey all - thanks for partaking.... Q1: the flowers I got from my face were from the make up artist. He buys alot of stuff from normal art shops.... So go the card making section and I'm sure you will find some there!! Q2: I didn't audition - Mika saw me on you tube after being recommended by someone he trusts. I met him and we talked and got on very well....the next thing I knew I was singing at Le Grand Journale... I feel very lucky!! Q3: Yes!! I shall do gigs outside of London - where do you want me to come??? I have gigged, Brighton, Horsham, Guildford, Kingston, Nottingham, Reading, Leeds, York, Scarborough, Oxford.... tell me where and I shall do my best to get to you!! Q.4: I do get nervous, but it seems only for my shows... I was nervous before the Mika show when I first sang Over my Shoulder, but apart from that I've been ok. But any Solo gigs, I'm a nervous wreck. I find breathing helps - just take a minute on your own meditate or pray - or just take a time out where you can just breathe with no distractions and remember - you are human, if you make a mistake - it's beautiful and it doesn't matter, it's only a mistake - as long as you do your best!! x Q.5: Oh my god - here goes my street cred!!! My first ecord I ever bought was Kylie Minogue on tape - which I played to death on my huge yellow tape machine!! My first concert was either Backstreet Boys or Brotherhood of Man (with my dad)... Oh dear.... he he!!! Q.6: I'm afraid that dress is a Mama P special - but have a look on ebay, I'm sure you could find something there.. or second hand shops. Q.7: Wow - good question, I would have love to have been at a Jeff Buckley show - really small and personal - I totally love his voice - it would have been amazing live.

Hiiii iMMa! Liking the purple ;-)
Thanks for answering the questions about the flowers...I'm thinking flower power for Eden!! And that's amazing how you got into the Mika crew!! Ace!
Anyway, my question is: Who is your favourite Japanese artist, if you listen to Japanese music? Do you feel connected to your Japanese heritage, or do you feel more like a Londoner? Would you do any of your songs in Japanese? What theatre would you like to perform at most?
Okay, that was more than one question, I apologise!

Q1. Did you always want to sing? Q2. What would you be doing if it wasnt singing? Q3 what inspires you to write songs?

Hey iMMa!
I would like to know how you always manage to be so smiley and positive, and just have this really "nice" vibe all the time. Do you think that it's coming from your Japanese part? I find that Japanese people are always very smiley and polite, they seem to have that 'air' to them...could this be why?
On the same topic, and as someone who has moved around a LOT and therefore aquired a certain mix myself (albeit not genetic). your mixed background really fascinates and intrigues me.
Do you find that you have had a huge influence from your Japanese roots, or that, living in the UK, this has been mostly British?
Anyway, if you find this too personal to answer I will understand, but it's just something that really fascinates me, because I think that there is a far bigger difference betwen the British culture and the Japanese, than say, between British and German or something...
Sorry for being so long!!
And I'm so glad to see that you have your own fanboard, ABOUT TIME!! LOL!!
xx Sara.
